Let Freedom Ring! Enjoy a Juneteenth Shoebox Lunch from the Cook’s Nook

On Saturday, June 15th, the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center presents “Let Freedom Ring!” a Juneteenth celebration. This FREE event features crafts, carnival games, human hamster ball races, bungee/ joust jumper and a mobile arcade.

A Juneteenth Marketplace includes Melanated Marketplace with local vendors, character reenactments of the “Texas Slave Narratives”, and Juneteenth Storytimes are a few of the Carver’s jubilee offerings to enjoy.
Purchase a $10 shoebox lunch from the Cook’s Nook.

As a Texas tradition, Juneteenth is about food, family and celebration. Purchase a box by June 12th.
